Ha ha, never wanted to be a ferret before!! I'll have to invite ferrets to my next listening session I think a lot of "golden ears" is training and experience. Hearing acuity vs listening skills.

Yes, I pretty much disagree with a most of what was said - especially about improvements through upsampling. My experience has been exactly the opposite - the original recording resolution always sounded best. Upsampling sometimes created more "space or air", but that space and air was no longer attached to the instruments. Articulation of the instruments was significantly changed and sibilance on vocals became unnatural. Higher resolution recordings played back at their initial resolution resulted in an improvement.
