Code of conduct
The code of conduct on this forum is based on tolerance, civility and respect as interpreted by the moderators, and in turn shaped by the members. It must be accepted however that the moderators have the task of making the final call.
It is fine whether listening or measuring is your usual modus operandi to determine sound quality. Some observations and subjective opinions are not easily measured but they still count. Variance of opinion is welcome but that is not synonymous with challenging for proof. Such challenges typically lead down the rocky road of conflict, especially when proof or disproof is not easily attainable, and when done in an inconsiderate manner . No one should have to feel judged or held to account for a subjective listening experience.
In particular personal attacks will not be tolerated nor will the use of sarcasm intended as a veiled attack.
There are different paths to achieving genuine audio improvement and music enjoyment. If you are only on one of those paths that is fine, we would love to hear your journey. If you seek to prove that your path is the only path or seek an adversarial approach to inflame or incite, this forum is not for you.
Most of all the code of conduct seeks to bring back the fun in both the technical and non-technical aspects of being an audiophile; allow everybody to chase down ideas of what makes a difference in sound quality without feeling harassed; and in the passionate pursuit of reproducing beautiful, life affirming and sublimely beautiful music
