Are any members interested in constructing copies of the John Linsley Hood designed PSU add-on which can be configured as 2 separate +VE polarity supplies or with dual polarity up to >+ and -24V, and in the modified version as high as 3A at+12V ? It will also work well at +5V and +3.3V with a single component change. It has a noise level of typically <4uV and a wider bandwidth than the original published design in ETI. Years ago more than 800 PCBs were supplied worldwide, but there are none currently available. You would need to be able to make the PCB yourself from the attached artwork designed by DIY Audio member Greg Erskine . I have also used this design with the Current Limiter section replaced by a LM317T set for +5V output to power both of my internal SSDs in my PC separately, with improved results. I would need to provide details in pdf format via Dropbox to conserve forum bandwidth.
Corrected copies of the original article can be seen on Greg's site by clicking on Power Supplies

I can vouch for these very handy boards having used them in a number of projects. Below is a link to a PSU I made for a Phono stage, I removed rectification and voltage splitting from it and a fed a nice +/-15vdc to great effect. In the PSU is another board from Greg's site, the PSU board itself which is configured for multiple uses and voltages but used in simple form in this case. The two make great partners. @alex, I still have a few PSRR singles remaining in the sweetie box!

Hi Chris.
You will have noticed 2 of Greg Erskine's recent PSU PCBs in the link to the photo of my Class A Preamp. They are much more versatile than those designed by Silicon Chip magazine and they can also take Surface Mount diodes in the bridge rectifier section. I also have a couple remaining of the single JLH PCBs designed by Rock Grotto forum members. Regards Alex

Hi Alex,
Imgur is a free service, embedding into forums only works via PC AFAIK. I have certainly not managed via mobile.
Didn't realise the original link was hinky though as it worked for me. I did just recently embed the pics.
